Words and Pictures with Sarah Tagholm
Why writers should have another job, the benefits of doing a course and why she blocks out time to write
This week we were joined by fellow Cornish based writer Sarah Tagholm.
We talked about why writers should have another job, the benefits of doing a writing course, where she gets her inspiration from and why it’s so important to block out time to create, as well as recharge.
Sarah Tagholm is a children's author who loves writing about confused animals, mischievous children and all things bizarro.
She is passionate about encouraging a love of reading, libraries and availability of books for all children Sarah lives with her husband and son in Cornwall, where they spend so much time in the sea it's a wonder they haven't grown gills!

A huge thank you to Sarah for taking the time to talk to us. You can find out more about Sarah on her agent’s website and Instagram.

Love Naomi and James x
I really enjoyed your interview with Sarah Tagholm. I love her book, ‘we are the wibbly’. I’ve just done the 4 week picture book course with Jo Collins at Golden Egg and am wondering whether to apply for the year long one. It was encouraging to hear Sarah’s experience of it. I’ll be adding Sarah’s books to my reading list. Thank you once again.
